Designing custom travel + shared experiences for groups & gatherings
A strategic travel advisor bringing ease, intention, and expertise to meaningful travel experiences
Hi, I’m Sarah
My journey to founding Swell was driven by my desire to create meaningful shared experiences.
Combining my event and project management expertise with my pursuit for wellness and adventure through travel, I use my planner's eye to vet every detail and ensure every trip is filled with elation and connection.
Bringing executive-level precision to trip planning ensures that every guest feels seen, every itinerary feels intentional, and every host feels supported.
By handling the logistics from hotel vetting to custom registration and payment portals, I guarantee a seamless experience that allows you to be completely free from administrative distraction.
I live in Boulder, Colorado and when I’m not planning events & trips I’m usually out hiking, practicing yoga, or enjoying a dog walk with my husband. I’m a lover of live music, an avid home cook, and a believer in the power of time spent with family and friends.
My obsession with the "perfectly mapped journey" began long before I had professional tools or a smartphone.
In 2007, I planned a month-long, seven-country European trek for my sister, my best friend, and myself. Working from my college apartment referencing travel books and primitive websites, I mapped every detail: every hostel, every activity, every train connection, and the specific walking routes from the train station to our accommodations.
We executed that trip flawlessly—entirely offline.
That "pre-iPhone" era taught me that precision is the highest form of hospitality. While I now use sophisticated tech to manage group travel, that same 2007 grit remains. I still obsess over the "station-to-door" details so you can simply arrive and be present.
Simple acts of kindness create positive change.
Swell Experiences supports the nonprofit foundation Be Like Ellie that aims to build a more caring and inclusive society where every act of kindness ripples outward to create a brighter, more compassionate world for all.
Ellie was born a protector. She loved and cared for everyone and everything with all of her heart. There wasn't a person who met her who wasn't instantly touched by her thoughtfulness.
At 6 years old, Ellie passed away in a tragic accident, while simply playing in her backyard.
The Be Like Ellie Foundation was founded to carry on Ellie's gift of making the world a better place, one simple act of kindness at a time.
